Indications
Benoxyl is indicated for acne treatment and has an antibacterial effect. It also acts as a mild drying effect resists excess oil and dirt.
Dosage and Administration
Wash and dry affected areas prior to application. Follow the physician’s instructions carefully.
Cleansing Bar
Normal Dosage: recommended is to use two to three times daily.
Cleansing lotion, cream, or gel
Normal Dosage: recommended is to use on the affected area(s) of the skin once or twice a day.
Lotion
Normal Dosage: recommended is to use on the affected area(s) of the skin three to four times a day.
Facial mask
Normal Dosage: recommended is to use once a week.
Stick
Normal Dosage: recommended is to use on the affected area(s) of the skin once or thrice a day.
For children up to 12 years of age are advised to use the medicine as determined by your doctor.

Side Effects
Irritation and contact dermatitis are the most frequent side reactions to benzoyl peroxide.
Precautions
- Avoid using Benoxyl on sunburnt, dry, chapped, or irritated skin.
- Avoid using on wounds or on areas of eczema.
- Avoid using harsh, abrasive, or irritating cleansers, perfumes, or cosmetics on the area being treated.
Drug Interactions
Combination of Benoxyl with Altinac, Avita, Renova, Retin-A can cause skin irritations.
